WHAT TO BRING
As well as all your usual holiday clothing and equipment, such as cameras,
you will need to bring the following for the rides:
- Personal riding helmet (We recommend that you wear one, but it remains
your choice to do so or not to do so)
- Comfortable riding clothes (we recommend jodhpurs, half-chaps and a long-sleeve
shirt)
- Sturdy, comfortable walking/riding boots with a rubber sole (some of
the rides will involve leading the horses over the more difficult, rocky
terrain)
- Warm, windproof and waterproof jackets (Winter and Spring days in Namaqualand
can occasionally be cold and damp, though the days are usually sunny even
when they are very cold)
- Sunscreen lotion (The clear, dry air of Namaqualand allows for good star
gazing and easily getting sunburned)
- Sun hat (broad-brimmed is preferable)
